Well my story begins yesterday. 1/28/2017. Have never filed with Jackson-Hewitt, heard their prices are better than H&R Block. They said before filing that they have a program through metabanck that will give a loan on your tax return up to $1300.00. Bait. I needed the money as my wife is in school and I'm the only one working in our household. So I thought heck yeah. 0% interest. Well low and behold today I get an email, that form 8812 was not up to metabanks standards, the amount of federal income withheld didn't meet their criteria, amount of adjusted gross income was not sufficient, and a whole bunch of other crap. So I called Jackson-Hewitt where I done my taxes ST ALBANS WV, and the owner was extremely rude to me over the phone, saying that there was nothing she could do, and that my taxes were already filed electronically and I could not withdraw my forms until they are paid for their services. I ENCOURAGE ANY AND EVERYONE TO GO ELSEWHERE. ME PERSONALLY, ILL BE RETURNING MY BUSINESS TO H&R BLOCK. THEY HOOK YOU UNDER FALSE PRETENSES VIA THE LOAN CARD. ITS A SCAM. Not to mention that I am being denied access to my personal information that is currently sitting unprotected in a desk drawer.
